Homestead Farm is a family business with Margaret managing the farm shop and restaurant and husband Gary and three sons managing the farm.

With over four generations of farming experience Margaret and Gary decided to take the plunge and carry on the family tradition over 25 years ago and have never looked back.

Not stopping with three children and a farm to run it seemed the natural progression to develop the business by opening a farm shop as Holmeswood is a small village with no grocery outlets nearby.

Years on, the village couldn't be without Homestead Farm Shop. It is somewhere to buy fresh, seasonal produce and groceries. Uniquely ninety percent of our produce is sourced from within the palatine of Lancashire. Following customer demand we recently opened a butchery counter in partnership with our local butcher who ensures all meats are locally sourced.

More recently saw the opening of 'Margaret's Restaurant' which serves freshly prepared, regionally inspired dishes and is an idylic location to hold a special birthday or family celebration. With seating for up to 100 people the restaurant can be the perfect venue for any event.

From a farm house breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner for two or just simply popping for a coffee the hospitality will draw you back time and time again.

Homestead Farm is close to many wonderful local attractions such as Martin Mere,  Windmill Farm, Rufford Old Hall, Southport and Ormskirk.
